Judgement Free Zone: Roots to Recovery

Roots to Recovery is a dually licensed outpatient program offering substance use and mental health treatment. We provide two levels of care including Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) and standard Outpatient Programming (OP) for people seeking treatment for substance use disorders as well as individual sessions for those seeking help with mental health difficulties.  Roots to Recovery provides a judgement-free environment where adults age 18+ can receive treatment and continue to work, attend school and be with their family.  Our approach is trauma-informed and client-centered.

Many people suffer from both substance use and mental health disorders at the same time. Whether a person comes in for help in one area or both, a holistic assessment is completed to fully understand each person’s goals and needs. From there, the appropriate level of care is determined, and an individualized treatment plan is created.

The co-occurring intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Roots to Recovery is specially designed for clients struggling with both substance use and mental health disorders.  Our multidisciplinary approach uses a combination of evidence-based practices, and each client participates in both individual and group therapy sessions. Clients can also receive family therapy and psychiatric evaluations, where medication management can be provided as necessary. Peer recovery specialists work alongside a dedicated team of clinicians for a collaborative approach to treatment, offering support from a person with lived experience in recovery.  Random drug screens are administered to provide feedback to both clients and staff and to guide treatment.

Roots to Recovery is committed to breaking down barriers to treatment. Our hybrid model offers both in-person and online telehealth services. Telehealth offers the convenience of therapy from the safety and comfort of home. We accept both Medicaid and private insurance and offer sessions during daytime and evening hours.  To schedule an assessment, call Alyssa Manning (732) 993-6403 Ext. 408 or William Torres Ext 409.
